one true experience....

last week aku dpt mc 3 hari...plus another 2 days in advance...utk dptkan that 2 days tu...aku kena pi jumpa dr zana dulu....she said that the contraction is quite hard...but she's surprised my cervix is still 1cm dilated...

so, dpt la mc 2 hari...next appointment is on 29 june if i'm not in labour...dia kata...

balik je umah, dlm kol 1 tu aku dah stat rasa contraction...every 5minutes....tp xkuat sgt la...i tried to get some sleep...tp xleh...dlm kol 2 tu i call my hubby kt opis soh balik....

dia ajak gi naluri tp aku xmo lagi...sbb masa sarah dulu aku pegi awal...pastu terus kena induce...serik babe....lama gak le berpk nk pi klinik ke tak....

sampai kol 6...husband aku ada kelas mlm la pulak...tp aku xbagi le dia pegi...

pastu aku rasa cam ada kick kt perut...tetiba air ketuban turun...xbyk la...mak aku soh terus gi spital...masa dlm keta...byk gila air kuar...abis keta aku....sampai je naluri...diorg soh gi level 2...

ada sorg nurse kt situ...dgn rilek nye dia tny...sakit ke...dah bukak bape??

mana la aku tau!!

dia soh salin baju...masuk labour room....pastu dia cek...dah 4cm....dr zana masa tu ada patient tgh deliver...lepas patient tu deliver dia dtg melawat aku...5cm oredi...

dia tny aku leh tahan ke....aku cakap boleh lagi...byk kali dia tny...nak soh aku amek epidural la tuh...aku ckp ok...

the contraction is getting harder and harder...mak aih...mcm ni ke org bersalin normal..

masa sarah dulu...since aku kena induce...sakit gila...aku amek epidural....so mmg xde rasa pe2.....sampai nak push pun xrasa.....last2 kena vacum....plus episiotomi....huhuhu...sakitttt....dekat 2 minggu baru aku leh duduk....

yg ni alhamdulillah...masa dah sakit sesgt tuh...dah bukak 9cm....masa diorg soh push tu aku rasa cam nk mati...siyess....

dlm hati aku...mcm ni rupanya beranak normal..sebelum ni klu org tny mmg le aku bersalin normal sarah dulu...tp experience dia xsama....sakit lepas bersalin tu yg aku ingat sesgt...

yg ini...sakit bersalin...mmg sakitttt.....lepas bersalin...sakit kesan jahit ke sumer tu dah xde mende la...dis time aku dah leh jalan lepas 2 hari...ok la kan...

masa dr zana dtg cek up the next day tuh...dia siap tny aku camne?..which is better...with or without epidural...aku ckp ada pro n cont....hehe...

for my second baby nih...aku push dkt 20minit gak le baru dia nk kuar...and she's just 2.8kg....

.8kg lighter than sarah....

muka dia sebijik muka sarah masa newborn...hehh...

Signs of Labor

Here are some of the signs that labor is approaching. You may not experience all of these symptoms or be aware of them . . .

Lightening ~ aka the baby dropped ~ You may notice one day that there is a space between your breasts and abdomen that you didn't notice yesterday. As you get closer to your due date, the baby will drop into your pelvis (called lightening). This can happen weeks before delivery or even the day of delivery. You may not even notice.

Bloody Show ~ aka the mucous plug ~ Your mucous plug is a collection of secretions that seals the opening of the cervix. As the cervix thins and relaxes, the plug is dislodged and will look like stringy pink or blood-tinged mucous. (It won't look like a plug.) Labor could be imminent or days away.

Rupture of Membranes ~ aka your "water broke" ~ The "water" is actually the amniotic fluid surrounding your baby inside your uterus. Although you may have heard horror stories of women's water breaking in restaurants or while shopping, in reality, only 10% of women's membranes rupture before labor begins. When it does occur, it may trickle out or gush. Discuss with your care provider what s/he would like you to do in the event your water breaks before labor starts.

The Nesting Urge ~ aka you want to clean everything in sight ~ I must confess that this has never happened to me whether I'm pregnant or not. But if you wake up one day with lots of energy and you want to tackle some things you've been putting off or just HAVE to have everything prepared for the baby, you'll know it's that old Nesting Urge kicking in. It happens to most females of the animal kingdom ~ one of those primal instincts.

Effacement ~ aka ripening of the cervix ~ Unless you have an exam and your care provider tells you your cervix is effacing, you won't realize it. Your cervix is usually an inch or so thick during pregnancy, and it will begin to thin (efface) out. If you're 50% effaced, your cervix is half its original thickness. If your cervix is 100% effaced, it has completely thinned out.

Dilatation ~ aka opening of the cervix ~ Dilatation is the process of your cervix opening up to allow for passage of the baby. Full dilatation is 10 centimeters.

Diarrhea ~ aka you know this one ~ Your birth hormones can cause abdominal cramps and loose stools. This is nature's way of emptying your intestines to make room for the baby's passage through the birth canal.

Contractions ~ aka OUCH those labor pains! ~ You've been having contractions for most of your pregnancy as your uterus and body prepare for the "big event." Most of these contractions are painless or felt more as pressure or a feeling of tightening that isn't painful. Towards your due date, these Braxton-Hicks contractions may increase in frequency and intensity.

False labor pains are usually in the lower abdomen and groin. They usually don't follow a regular pattern and will stop regardless of your activity.

True labor contractions tend to start at the top of your uterus radiating down through your abdomen and lower back. They will develop a regular pattern and grow in intensity and frequency. A change of activity will not stop true labor.

How To Time Contractions

Timing contractions is very easy to do, and can tell you a lot about your labor.

Difficulty: Easy

Time Required: 30 minutes

Here's How:

1. When you think you're having regular contractions get a watch with a second hand or find someone to help you.
2. When a contraction begins note the time.
3. When a contraction ends note the time.
4. The difference in these numbers is how long the contractions are lasting.
5. Note the time the next contraction begins.
6. The distance from the first contraction to the second contraction is how far apart your contractions are.
7. Time a few contractions to check for regularity.

Tips:

1. Don't time every contraction. Only time them when they start and when you believe that they've changed in length or space.
2. Ignore every contractions you can. Getting overly excited can get you to your place of birth faster, but won't make the baby come any sooner.
3. If you have questions call your doctor or midwife.

Some people were born lucky....

some people were born lucky....no morning sickness at all masa peknen....dulu org ckp kejap je morning sickness tuh...the 1st 2 months camtu je....dlm buku ke dlm babycenter ke sumer cakap camtuh....it'll takes around 10 weeks utk hormon stabil la...bla...bla...bla....

but..not for me....hmmm...xbaik mengeluh kan...besides, not for long anymore....sebulan je lagi....

tp based from my previous experience with sarah...mmg camtuh la kan....sampai seminggu lepas bersalin pun still ada lagik....huhuhu...

but lucky me, masa tuh sarah xberjaga malam....so, aku dpt tdo yg cukup setiap hari...heheh...
